Day 6...Saturday.

Saturday was the day it hit me that this detox is going to last 22 more days!!!!!! I kept thinking and saying to myself that I wanted something "sweet" I had to change the story I was telling myself. I went from saying "I WANT something sweet & I will just feel better." to "I am content with what I have already eaten. I do not need any sweets because that is just toxins to my body & I am making a change in the way I eat. My body craves healthy foods, not donuts (considering that is my favorite sweet). This process actually helped me! Try it.. Change the story you are telling yourself....

I worked out 2 of the girlfriends here in San Antonio while they are on a visit. It was a great workout & chance to pray with them about our life & the trials that come with being in professional baseball. I love how God is turning our dream into a ministry as well... Isn't that how we all are suppose to be?? No matter what your career or lifestyle is like? As I went on about the rest of my day after our workout I began to reflect on our life & how I want Jace to see how Jeremy & I live... Its so hard not to get caught up in "moving up to Triple A or the big leagues" or to get frustrated about finances... but we are to focus on the NOW & be a light for God where we are TODAY because we are not guaranteed "moving up" or even tomorrow! How precious life is! Anyway, as I began reflecting I opened up my book I have been reading called, "A Mom After Gods Own Heart".... Its just what I needed. I have fallen in love with Christ & I long for Jace to have that relationship. I want him to know that Momma & Daddy love God first and foremost. I want to implement Christ in EVERY aspect of our daily life... this includes my workouts & eating habits. I want to show & tell Jace (& his future siblings) how important it is to take care of our body. I want him to know that we take care of our body because it is a Temple, not because we want to be "skinny" or look how the world says we need to... That is my prayer today & will be everyday.

I am sure most people have heard of the Veggie Tales but if you haven't I recommend you go to their website! I went there today looking at stuff for Jace because I wanted to get the Lullaby Cd & found alot of neat resources. Its a great & fun way to teach your children the bible.

Here is the verse that speaks to us about how we are to teach our children about the Lord...

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, The Lord is one!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
...lest you forget the Lord."
