Day 10...

Wednesday. Jeremy left this morning for his road trip & won't be back until next Wednesday. This means Jace & I get to spend this time alone in San Antonio... Most would think "how sad" but I actually feel blessed we are here :) I am so glad Jace & I were able to come & stay the month with Jeremy. This lifestyle has its ups & downs but we must cherish every moment because we aren't guaranteed tomorrow in baseball or in life period. Soak up every minute & know that you are to enjoy the NOW. God has placed you there for "such a time as this!"

This morning Jeremy woke up with a headache so I went to the gas station & grabbed him a snack for the road... a pop-tart at that! I LOVE pop-tarts & started to grab myself one & remembered how that could lead to many other things against the detox plan so I put mine back on the shelf. It takes 30 days to start a new habit and only 3 days to break one... in my case, one pop-tart! lol This reminded me of something... I remember when I was in youth group & we always did the demonstration of pulling someone off a chair... One person stands on a chair & the other pulls them down... how easy it is to fall off the chair. This illustrates how easy it is to be brought down... Unfortunately this is very true.. we are easily influenced and have to be aware of that... What seems to amaze me daily is how forgiving our God truly is... He loves us no matter how many times we fall off that chair... we can start right back where we left off with our relationship with him... Thank goodness it doesn't take 30 days to repent & get right with God. It only takes an open heart & a simple prayer. He loves us so much that there isn't anything we can do that he won't forgive us of.. do you believe that?? wholeheartedly believe it? It such a peaceful place to be! I have had that on my mind all day... There is no place for us to judge others because we all fall short & none of our lives are "picture perfect"... but one thing we all can have is Gods Grace :)

Most of my family would admit we are all a little crazy at times.. but you know what? My favorite thing about my family is that we all love each other despite all our weird ways... I truly believe that is how God wants us all to love one another... We don't know what each other have been through.. only God knows our heart. We are called to serve & love.

Forgive me God where I fail you.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
