Our lifestyle is what you would call "out of the ordinary" because we are in the Minor League Baseball system! Its what you call... inconsistent. We really don't know where we could be tomorrow.. things can change that quickly. One thing I think people misunderstand is that this is where God has called us! So many people ask me, "How do you do it?!"... Or people think,"How do you have a baby AND do this baseball thing?"... You know what I tell them? I say, "It's not easy, its a daily thing, but God provides! Thats how we do it!"... God doesn't give us what we can't handle!!!! Last year was my first year to travel with Jeremy & our first year of marriage... We feel so blessed for the opportunities that are in front of us! We are now parents to a beautiful baby boy & we are striving to follow Gods plan in this journey! I know this is a ministry for us, not just a career! Life isn't easy.. Jesus didn't promise us an "easy ride" he just promised we wouldn't have to go through it alone! Praise God! I hope that in your daily life you too lean on God to guide & direct you! Just remember... Life doesn't have to be perfect... You just have to strive to progress! I know I probably have repeated myself some in my blogs about that but I guess that is what God is teaching me right now!! I can get caught up in what other people think & say.. but really it doesn't matter because I know God loves me & is directing us!!!! So maybe this post was to remind me today too! It was put on my heart this morning & I had to share!!!
One thing I was told at a luncheon I went to during Spring Training for the wives was this,"When you have to pick up everything & move last minute.. or when your husband is struggling... or your kids are a challenge for the day/week/month/or just in "terrible twos" tell God how you feel.. He already knows! And just say, God.. I don't like this situation but I am going to do it anyway because its where you have placed me! You are my strength & you won't give me what I can't handle!!!" I guess you could say thats how I get through it too!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
